10RPS series pumps are designed for low flow applications of 18 GPM or under. They can be self-installed or placed using a local installer. At 900 feet of head the 10RPS50 will pump 12.5 GPM, and its ability range extends up to an astonishing 1,250 feet of total head!

This RPS pump uses a hearty 3 Wire Single Phase 5HP Motor and 3.85″ diameter pump end. The Outlet includes a built in check valve, most people add on an additional external check valve as well. The most efficient brushless motors mean no replacement of carbon brushes and years of smooth, reliable performance. Impellers are made of a composite material resistant to abrasion and chemical damage. Encapsulated winding for superior short protection. The entire body is made of corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel, and compliant to all drinking water standards. Includes a starter box matched to the pump HP with starting capacitor.

RPS engineers recommend 5HP pumps use at least 10 gauge wire up for wire lengths up to 200 feet, 8 gauge up to 320 feet, 6 gauge up to 500 feet, 4 gauge up to 800 feet.

Using a pressure tank or pressure system? You'll need to add the depth of your well with the PSI in feet of head to get your "Total Head" number for sizing.

10 PSI = 23 feet of head

20 PSI = 46 feet of head

30 PSI = 70 feet of head

40 PSI = 90 feet of head

50 PSI = 115 feet of head

60 PSI = 140 feet of head

Example: 50 foot (well depth) + 90 feet of head (from a 40 PSI pressure tank) = 140 feet of total head. If your total head number exceeds this pumps ability range, size up to get a similar flow with higher head ability!

RPS Laser Welded Construction

No Plastic Parts

Other pump companies use a mix of plastic and sub-par metal parts to construct their pumps, often those parts crack or break within a few months. RPS only uses anti-rust stainless steel.

Water Tight Motor Housing

Laser welding the top and bottom of the motor housing results in a superior watertight seal that protects your pump. No leaks!

Our Pledges to You

  1. Be a company our Grandfathers would have trusted. The trend of ‘outsourcing’ customer support after the sale is a trend we wholeheartedly oppose. We are an American, family run company and our USA engineers support you before and after the sale.
  2. No sales pressure. Ever. Nobody in the company is paid on commission. We think this is important. Their role is to make sure they find the right pump for you and your well. If we don’t have a livestock solar pump that will suit your needs, we will help you find a solution elsewhere. Our job is to help get you water.
  3. Reliable Water. All manufactured products have occasional issues and we can’t claim to be perfect. However, we are proud of a near perfect track record in getting our customers water. This starts with selling a pump sized for your usage with our Water Assurance Plan and promptly addressing warranty issues to get you up and pumping again quickly.
  4. Give you the power! When you control your ability to pump water out of the ground, whether that is in the field or at home, it makes you more resilient and independent. We are here to help educate you about solar water pumping for livestock and our systems over the phone, with our manual - so you can install yourself. Take control of your water supply today.
  5. Fight for the American rancher. RPS is a David & Goliath story of a small American company fighting against a big European pump corporation that cares more about profits then the longevity of their pumps and the sky-high price for ranchers. Thanks to all our customers for the support of small business vs. foreign corporations trying to profit off some of the hardest working people in our great nation.

wrong specifications.

The description calls for 2 wire and ground, but that’s from the starter box to your main panel. The wiring you need from the starter box to the pump down the well pipe is actually 3+ ground, four wires, which is lacking in the description. wire is expensive, and now I have to buy more. Please make sure the description is accurate as what is needed upon purchase. I have not installed the pump so I don’t know otherwise on quality so I am rating this in the middle until install.

Hey Josh!
I would see how depending on the region of the united states you're in, some people refer to the wiring on the pumps a little differently. With regional descriptions being that way, I could see how the description on the webpage could be a little confusing (we're going to add a bit more onto the description so theres absolutely no way to confuse the two where-ever someone is in the world). We call all the 3 +G pumps '3 wire' and the 2+G pumps '2 wire' in the descriptions right now. Your manual should have all the details on required wiring and options as well! I'd just like to extend a heartfelt 'sorry' for any confusion this has caused for your well pump install... we can't go back in time but if you have absoutely anything else that you need or have questions please reach out and we'll be here for you.
