How to Choose the Right Setup

Step 1: Choose the Desired Length

Select from 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, or 300-foot poly pipe kits (wire, pipe, and rope are matched to chosen depth).

Step 2: Select your pipe diameter

Determine whether you need a 1” poly pipe (up to 15 GPM) or a 1.25” poly pipe (15-25 GPM).

If you are unsure, contact our team and we will help you determine the best pipe diameter based on your total well depth and pump needs, especially important in deep well applications where friction loss matters.

Step 3: Choose your plumbing option

Choose between a Well Seal Assembly or a Well Cap with Pitless Adapter.

Match the well casing size (4”, 5”, 6”, or 8”) to ensure a secure seal and freeze-proof setup.

Compatible with RPS AC Deep Well Pumps

We recommend the 1” well pump installation kit for our 05RPS, 07RPS, and 10RPS series submersible pumps delivering 5-15 GPM. For higher flow rates, 1.25” kits work best for 13RPS, 18RPS, and 25RPS models (15-25 GPM).

These kits account for necessary plumbing reductions as needed. No need to add extra fittings or worry whether everything will match.

Note: The actual diameter of the 1.25” drop pipe hole is 1.70”. Use reducing couplers when using a 1” drop pipe.

Note on Varying Well Casing Sizes for Well Seals

Well casing measurements can vary slightly depending on various factors such as pipe material, drilling process, casing age, and local installation standards. This is common across 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8” well casing sizes.

For example, a 2-year-old 6" well in Indiana may not have the exact same measurements as a 6" 65-year-old well in Texas. Not to worry! The black gasket around the bottom of RPS stainless steel well seals will swell with exposure to water to help seal off slight inconsistencies in measurements.

In rare cases, you can also add some foam tape around the gasket for a more exact fit on wells with "unique" measurements. And as long as the lip of the well seal is sitting over the well casing, your well pump will be safely supported.

Included everything I needed to do the install myself at a third of the price. Was great dealing with these people

Perfect for saving lots of money!

I ordered a pump and install kit from RPS after Ryan did all of the engineering to make sure I got what I needed without trying to unnecessarily upselling me. Myself and my 7 year old son (with the help of my polaris ranger) installed the pump 300' down my well and everything worked like it was supposed to. Make sure you buy a good metal holesaw bit for drilling through the casing. I will most certainly be recommending RPS.

One and Done Kit

The kit worked very well. I gave the kit a 4 as I have a few suggetions to improve the kit and istall. An install manual with tips and links to videos would have taken a lot of time figuring out how to assemble and install the kit. The RPS techical staff were very helpful in explaing and answering questions to help me. I used a truck's wheel hung from a backhoe to facilitate rasing and lowering the pipe to avoid kinking the poly pipe and rubbing on the well head. The 1/4 rope was a concern given the 300' depth and weight of the system. We used boards clamped to the poly pipe rather than the rope to raise and lower the pipe. Treated the rope as a safety if the clamps did not hold. It came with components that were not necessary such as cap and pitless. I would have preferred if I could have selected items and saved some cost. A protection boot (which I had) would be a good addition to the kit and possible power line seperators from the poly pipe. I have run the system about than one hour so maybe a year of use followed by a review update would be a better evaluation of the system. As an afterthought I was wondering if there was a way of flushing the pump if material might get on the screen periodically without having to raise and remove the system from the well.

4in well pump DIY kit

Had everything you needed looks great. Shipping wasn't too good had to wait almost 2 weeks for delivery. DIY kit was easily assembled, my pump motor failed after about a half hour of running. I took it apart to find out it was assembled wrong lots of silver dust. So I switched stuff out with old motor and it worked out just great. 🤔

Installation was flawless

The initial setup takes awhile but once it’s together and ready to go it is a breeze to drop in especially if the well is enclosed and in a tight space! The only thing missing is an extra clamp to secure and keep the assembly in place above the well cap but it was just a minor thing. Over all I was able to install it by myself and will be buying it again if I ever need to do another one!!

Good and bad

The kit itself is fine and RPS was good enough to send the kit discounted the price of the wire since I had the wire already. The bad part was that the 1-1/4, 300 ft kit came with 160 psi pipe instead of 250 psi pipe which should have been sent with this particular package. I was assured that the 160 psi was adequate for my application but the reason I ordered from them was the peace of mind from using 250 psi pipe. I desperately needed to get water back up so with their reassurance I used what I got sent. Otherwise, the new pump and well are working fine. However, still feel upset and disappointed in the pipe psi error. Sincerely D Bishop

Hey there! We really apologize about the mix up on the pipe, we missed updating that PSI number when we recently swapped over to 160PSI. Rest assured that 1) you were not overcharged for the difference in PSI of the pipe and 2) that 160PSI is more than sufficient for your needs. The way we can prove this to you is using a simple math equation 160 x 2.31 = 369.6 - this number tells us that by multipling 160PSI by the coefficient of 2.31 (which is how we translate how many feet long of 160PSI rated pipe can hang in a well and handle the water weight moving through it) we end up with 369.6 feet of pipe. Meaning, the longest legnth of 160PSI pipe you should use in a well to handle the weight+ pressure at that length is 369.6. And since you're only using 300 feet of pipe, you've got a whole 69.6 feet of additional 'safety room' that isnt being used. I hope this adds to your peace of mind that you are MORE than within the safety bounds of the 160PSI pipe, and it ended up saving you some cash as well:) But we totally understand that the mixup was upsetting(not getting exactly what you ordered off the internet is pretty annoying). If absolutely any issue arises in the future, please contact our customer service(you've got access to them for the lifetime of the system), we will make sure that you are taken care of!
