10RPS series pumps are designed for low flow applications of 18 GPM or under. They can be self-installed or placed using a local installer. At 400 feet of head the 10RPS20 will pump 12.5 GPM!

This RPS pump uses a hearty 3 Wire Single Phase 2HP Motor and 3.85″ diameter pump end. The Outlet includes a built in check valve, most people add on an additional external check valve as well. The most efficient brushless motors mean no replacement of carbon brushes and years of smooth, reliable performance. Impellers are made of a composite material resistant to abrasion and chemical damage. Encapsulated winding for superior short protection. The entire body is made of corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel, and compliant to all drinking water standards. Includes a starter box matched to the pump HP with starting capacitor.

Using a pressure tank or pressure system? You'll need to add the depth of your well with the PSI in feet of head to get your "Total Head" number for sizing.

10 PSI = 23 feet of head

20 PSI = 46 feet of head

30 PSI = 70 feet of head

40 PSI = 90 feet of head

50 PSI = 115 feet of head

60 PSI = 140 feet of head

Example: 50 foot (well depth) + 90 feet of head (from a 40 PSI pressure tank) = 140 feet of total head. If your total head number exceeds this pumps ability range, size up to get a similar flow with higher head ability!

Frequently Asked Questions

Yup! Over 90% of our customers install their pumps themselves without a hitch. The other 10% use a well installer, mostly because their well is too deep to do the job by hand (over 400 feet). This is a testament to the rural do-it-yourself attitude, but also our company’s commitment to making our systems easier and easier to install year after year. With a detailed all-color User Manual walking you through planning and installation step-by-step and dedicated engineers by the phones to answer questions as they come. BONUS installing yourself will never void your warranty with RPS

RPS motors use 100% Stainless Steel laser welded housing. All of our 220V motors are 3 wire Capacitor Start Capacitor Run, which is the best investment on the pump market for longevity.

We started development of our first pumps in 2012 with our sister company RPS Solar Pumps, and after much testing and refinement, we launched our first pump for purchase in 2014. With all our pumps still in the field, and eight major winter upgrades from our engineering team, we are confident we have the highest quality pump that you can install yourself on the market, and the only comprehensive kit designed to make it easy. We believe our customers’s actions speak more loudly, with the majority of sales this past year coming from happy returning customers and their referrals.

Yes. As long as everything is in good condition. The most common replacement item is worn out pump wire that's been nicked or damaged from the previous decades in the well. Check the outlet size of the RPS pump you plan on using (most are 1.25"), all of use female NPT pipe threads, so you just need the correct fittings to adjust to your existing pipe size.

Yup, you'll need a float switch, which will be placed inside the storage tank and float up and down with the water level.

Our Pledges to You

  1. Be a company our Grandfathers would have trusted. The trend of ‘outsourcing’ customer support after the sale is a trend we wholeheartedly oppose. We are an American, family run company and our USA engineers support you before and after the sale.
  2. No sales pressure. Ever. Nobody in the company is paid on commission. We think this is important. Their role is to make sure they find the right pump for you and your well. If we don’t have a livestock solar pump that will suit your needs, we will help you find a solution elsewhere. Our job is to help get you water.
  3. Reliable Water. All manufactured products have occasional issues and we can’t claim to be perfect. However, we are proud of a near perfect track record in getting our customers water. This starts with selling a pump sized for your usage with our Water Assurance Plan and promptly addressing warranty issues to get you up and pumping again quickly.
  4. Give you the power! When you control your ability to pump water out of the ground, whether that is in the field or at home, it makes you more resilient and independent. We are here to help educate you about solar water pumping for livestock and our systems over the phone, with our manual - so you can install yourself. Take control of your water supply today.
  5. Fight for the American rancher. RPS is a David & Goliath story of a small American company fighting against a big European pump corporation that cares more about profits then the longevity of their pumps and the sky-high price for ranchers. Thanks to all our customers for the support of small business vs. foreign corporations trying to profit off some of the hardest working people in our great nation.

Good pump

Comfortable with the water pressure

I used your pumps to replace two Aqual Control fountain pumps. Just simple 2 wore A/C. When I installed them they did not work. The pumps came with a rubber bushing on the shafts just below the impeller. When the impeller bolt was tightened the bushing would not let the impeller spin. My old pumps had no rubber bushings. So I removed the rubber bushing and just finished reinstalling them in the pond and now they work. You should tell your customers. It was very frustrating trying to figure out why they did not work. I thought I had done something wrong. Also the pumps did not have a threaded hole in the shafts to bolt on the impeller. I had to drill a hole with a no 7 bit and tap the hole for a 1/4 20 bolt. Most people probably don't have tools to do this.

560 ft deep, pumping water

System assembled alright, the supplied wire connecters were not large enough for the #8 wire needed to supply power to a 500+ deep pump. I purchased a pack from the local hardware store, the heat shrink was a tight fit but worked well. I had to purchase a voltage step down transformer/relay box to work with the remote float switch in my storage tank. The transformer is a bit noisy, but maybe that's normal. Got it installed today and is flowing water properly.
